American-born, Dublin-based artist Vanessa Jones is a figurative painter whose work deals with themes around the feminine, primordial impulses and medieval associations with beauty, primarily through the filter of self-portraiture.  She recently graduated with an MFA from NCAD and was awarded the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Award in 2019 and 2021.
